My initial thoughts were all good, "FIT" seemed to tick all the boxes that I held important. Local, personal, very well equipped, and professional, but most of all flexible!, so I made an appointment to have an chat to one of the trainers, who, happened to be Lotta Sutton, the owner of "FIT".
Although the discussion was informal, it was in depth, and covered all aspects of what my goals and ambitions were for undertaking an exercise regime, and Lotta explained to me, how she could help me achieve those targets.
The rest is history, I chose to train with Lotta on a one to one basis and have never looked back. In just over the year, I have lost 2 stone in weight!, my blood pressure, is within its normal levels, and I am very much fitter now, than I have ever been. I have also noticed that those everyday niggling complaints such as lethargy, stress related headaches and tensions have abated.

"I have been a FIT client now for over 15 months and have been going twice a week for 1-2-1 ‘torture’ sessions with either John or Lotta. Every session is different but the motivation I have received especially when I am tired has been great. The flexibility to work outside, do cycle rides, country ‘romps’ walking and running with no chance to slow – unless you physically cannot go anymore makes a change from being cooped up inside.
I am a lot fitter, walk up three flights of stairs without having to stop to get my breath back, walk distances comfortably and even done two charity bike rides all which I would have struggled with before.
I am basically a lazy person when it comes to doing any physical exercise so without the support and motivation of these guys I would not be where I am today a lot fitter and healthier. “I started going to the gym in July 2006 but soon got bored of the program I'd been set. So in November, on the suggestion of one of the gym instructors, I organised a personal training session. Fortunately the original person was unable to see me and John Doyle covered the session. I haven't looked back since.
John has been fantastic providing motivation and support over the last 2 years. He has got me running (something I swore I couldn’t do!) which resulted in me doing the Comic Relief 6 mile run with him - not a great achievement for some but something I thought was always out of reach. I wouldn't have done it without John's support and encouragement.
